Process for Change/ Update Address and Other Details

  • You must fill out this application to be the initial applicant. Then attach the proof of an address change, or other information.
  • If the applicants don't have proof of their change of address, he can certify the form to the following people
    • Gazetted Officer - Group A
    • Village Panchayat Head, or Mukhiya
    • Gazetted Officer - Group B
    • MP/ MLA/ MLC/ Muncipal Councilor
    • Tehsildar
    • Head of Recognized Education Institution
    • Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head Institution
    • Recognized shelter houses/Orphanages
    • Officer EPFO
  • In this case, you have to go to the nearest Aadhaar Center along with this form to apply for changing the address as well as apply online for this change within the Aadhaar Number by following this link - Address Change Link

UIDAI permits people with Aadhaar cardsto change their address and without the need of documents. Aadhaar cardholders could alter their address even if they have not provided the proof of identity.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily stopped a crucial feature that allows you to change the address of your Aadhaar card's address without identification document.

UIDAI permits those who have Aadhaar cards to change their address without any form of documentation. Aadhaar cardholders can change their address if they consent to the authentication for the verification of address. A verifier of address could be a family member, friend, landlord or family member who permits the Aadhaar card holder to utilize their address for proof.

UIDAI is now stopping this facility. UIDAI has responded to an Aadhaar Card user by tweeting the capability to update address on the Aadhaar Card by submitting an Address Validation Letter is no longer available. UIDAI has requested an Aadhaar issuer to remind the user that they may update their address using a authentic PoA document.

UIDAI list the following documents on its website as POA documents (Proof Of Address) documents that include the name and address for Aadhaar cards

Passport

Statement/Passbook for Post Office Accounts

Driving licence

Water Bill (not more than 3 months)

Telephone Landline Bill (not older than 3 months)

Notes from Credit Cards (not older that 3 months).

A signed letter with a photograph from a registered company on letterhead

Pensioner Card

Freedom Fighter Card

Kissan Passbook

Passport of Spouse

The passport of the parents (in instances of minors)

Central/ State Govt. Initiated an allotment to accommodate. (Not more than 3 years)

Bhamashah Card/Jana Aadhaar Card issued by Governmentt. Rajasthan

Certificate issued by the Superintendent/ WardenMatron/ Head Of Institution of recognized shelter homes orphanages, etc. on UIDAI standard certificate format for enrolment/ update
